Don't miss the Annual Christmas In July celebration in historic Vermilion, Ohio July 23 - 25. Three fun-filled days of exciting activities, entertainment and fantastic shopping bargains each July. Santa arrives by Riverboat on Friday, get silly with Capt'n Willie on Saturday, shop the Open Air Market on Saturday and enjoy the sounds of the season at the Concert In The Park on Sunday. Holiday decorations in downtown Vermilion all three days.

Friday: Santa by Riverboat

Santa arrives by riverboat at 8:30 pm on Friday on the Vermilion River at East Exchange Park. Join the fun-filled festivities. An outdoor Christmas Movie follows provided by the Vermilion Parks and Recreation Board.

Saturday: Capt'n Willie at Exchange Park

Avast ya' scurvy dogs an' landlubbers alike! Batten down ye hatches as Capt'n Willie ‘The Great Lakes Pirate' navigates his way t' Vermilion in an effort t' be enlistin' an' edutainin' crewmembers both young an' old. Welcome aboard mateys! This here event is free an' open t' all at Exchange Park on the Vermilion River in Downtown Vermilion on Saturday at noon. Free goodies to all kids and coloring contest.

Live Entertainment

Christmas In July rocks on the river at Quaker Steak & Lube with live entertainment. Carolers will entertain with the sounds of the season in downtown Vermilion. Don't miss the live music at the Christmas themed Local Market at Victory Park in downtown Vermilion on Saturday. Special treats, music, art and more. Sunday offers a Concert in the Park.

Saturday: Open Air Market

Main Street Vermilion and the City of Vermilion presents the Vermilion Local Market at Victory Park on Saturday - holiday style. This local market offers home-grown fruit, vegetables, herbs, fresh flowers, local meat, cheese and other goodies. Local artists also showcase and sell their work. Treat yourself to an early Christmas present. The Market will be held on Saturday from 2 pm to 6 pm.

The Arts Guild of Vermilion will present an art show at the Main Street Vermilion Building, 685 Main Street, all three days. Stop in and view the show. Sponsored by Main Street Vermilion.

Sunday: Music In The Park

Christmas In July wraps up with a free concert at Victory Park gazebo in downtown Vermilion on Sunday at 7 pm. Bring a blanket or lawn chair. Presented by the Vermilion Chamber of Commerce.
